Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a general labor associate to operate and maintain the evaporator on the 2nd shift (6pm–6am) with rotating weekends and relief shifts as needed. The role includes performing CIP on production equipment, sanitary duties, and ensuring product quality.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and some production or general work experience. The environment is fast-paced and requires adherence to GMP, HACCP, SQF, and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Start, run, and shutdown the evaporator.
• Work relief shifts for the evaporator as production requires.
• Assist production lines as determined by supervisor.
• Perform CIP on evaporator and related equipment.
• Ensure product produced meets specifications.
• Complete quality checks and maintain logs.
• Understand product flow to each silo.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Follow GMP and sanitation requirements.
• Attend required training (GMP, HACCP, SQF, Safety).
• Other duties may be assigned.

Rotating weekends and relief shifts as needed
General Purpose
Operate and maintain the evaporator while performing CIP on the production equipment, silos, and production lines. Perform master sanitation and preventative maintenance tasks in the evaporator room. This job will require a flexible schedule when production requires it or for training purposes.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform the start, run, and shutdown of the evaporator
• Work relief shifts for the evaporator as production requires.
• Assist production lines as determined by supervisor
• Perform CIP on evaporator and all associated equipment that would affect the evaporator performance
• Ensure all product produced is within the proper specifications
• Complete quality checks and maintain accurate logs
• Master and understand the product flow through the systems to each silo
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
• Attend required training, including but not limited to: GMP’s, HAACP, SQF, and Safety

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
