Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking an Evaluator to perform electrical testing and evaluation of transformers, ensuring safety, product quality, and adherence to company policies.

You will conduct inspections, collect measurements, photos, and drawings for fabrication options; document results, support inventory thresholds, and collaborate with other departments while maintaining a clean, safe workstation.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Technical or Vocational school preferred.
• Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
• 1-3 years transformer experience preferred.
• 1-3 years mechanical and/or electrical field experience preferred.
• Material handling equipment experience (forklift, crane, etc.) preferred.
• OSHA10 certification preferred.
• Proven track record in safety excellence is required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and under pressure.

Brief Description

The Evaluator is responsible for the electrical testing and evaluation of transformers. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards, and company policies are essential functions of this role.

Requirements

• Adheres to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization. Notify management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries.

• Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations.
• Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail and can work in a team environment.

• Ability to learn other department job functions and fill in as needed.
• Complete company compliance and safety training when required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
• Physical requirements for this role include, but are not limited to the following:
• Lift 50lbs floor to waist and waist to shoulder multiple times
• Standing and walking for long durations
• Bending, squatting, and kneeling multiple times for long durations
• The ability to climb up and down a ladder multiple times
• Balance and stand on a ladder with three points of contact for extended periods of time
• Comfortable working in the heat and cold due to manufacturing facilities not being climate controlled
