Job summary

An electric mobility company is seeking a Vehicle Test Engineer in Palo Alto, CA to define and support reliability and feature testing for their innovative electric vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a BS/MS in engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and knowledge of automotive testing protocols. This position offers a salary range of $160,000 to $210,000 annually and robust health benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in systems test engineering, vehicle testing, or durability testing.
• Experience with accelerometers, strain gauges, and data logging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive execution for vehicle durability/test targets.
• Support test planning and execution for fleet validation activities.
• Manage defect triage and testing traceability.

Skills

Experience with instrumentation and data collection

Understanding of systems engineering processes

Experience with testing vibration, shock, and thermal cycling

Knowledge of automotive communication protocols

Comfortable riding 2 wheeled vehicles

Education

BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science
