Job summary

Actalent in Bellevue, WA is seeking an experienced EV Validation Engineer to lead system-level testing of EV charging and power electronics. You will develop test plans, evaluate interoperability across vendors, and generate detailed reports for engineering stakeholders.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical systems testing, hands-on use of oscilloscopes, power analyzers, data logging, and proficiency with Python or MATLAB for automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical systems integration, validation, testing, or commissioning.
• Hands-on experience with EV charging infrastructure, AC/DC power systems, power supplies, inverters, DC-DC converters, and power distribution equipment.
• Experience developing, reviewing, and executing electrical test plans and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Experience troubleshooting complex electrical systems.
• Proficiency using oscilloscopes, power analyzers, multimeters, and data logging equipment.
• Familiarity with Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis and automation.
• Strong technical writing and reporting skills.

• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient testing environment.
• Conduct periodic lab safety audits and support high-voltage safety compliance.
• Coordinate equipment setup, test configurations, and laboratory readiness.
• Support shipping and receiving of test components, chargers, and electrical equipment.
• Collaborate with facilities, logistics, and warehouse personnel to support ongoing testing activities and assist with lab expansion or reconfiguration as needed.

Job Title: EV Validation Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced EV Charging Systems Verification Engineer to support the integration, validation, and testing of EV charging infrastructure and power electronics systems. This role will own the execution of system-level testing activities focused on charger interoperability, electrical system integration, and validation of third-party charging technologies. The engineer will develop and execute test plans, analyze results, troubleshoot electrical systems, and support deployment readiness across a wide range of electrification initiatives.

• Prior experience supporting laboratory operations or validation test environments.

100% onsite in Seattle, WA. Testing is performed within a warehouse-based engineering lab environment. Candidates should be comfortable working around electrical test equipment, charging infrastructure, prototype hardware, and warehouse operations. Occasional domestic travel required to support field testing and data collection.

This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
