Job summary

EVCS is seeking an EV Charging Technician to commission, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and brand charging stations across Washington state. This role ensures performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction for EV charging infrastructure in the field.

Travel throughout WA is required to support field operations, with an emphasis on safe work practices and thorough documentation of service activities. A strong electrical background and customer-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in electrical systems or EV charging.
• Strong troubleshooting and understanding of electrical systems.
• Familiarity with networking and IoT-connected devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Commission new EV charging stations, including installation validation and network setup.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on EVCS hardware/software.
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure uptime.
• Install and maintain branding elements on stations.
• Respond to service calls and resolve issues promptly.
• Document all service activities and repair actions.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
• Travel regularly throughout Washington to support field operations.

Location :Washington (Travel Required - Driving) - Remote - $75-110K

Job Summary

The EV Charging Technician is responsible for the commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and branding of electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) across multiple West Coast locations. This role ensures optimal performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction for EV charging infrastructure in the field.

Resonsibilities

• Commission new EV charging stations, including installation validation, system configuration, and network connectivity setup
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on EVCS hardware and software systems
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure system uptime and performance
• Install and maintain station branding elements, including signage, wraps, and decals
• Respond to service calls and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
• Document all service activities, maintenance logs, and repair actions accurately
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to resolve technical issues
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and company procedures
• Travel regularly throughout Washington to support field operations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in electrical, electronics, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in electrical systems, field service, or EV charging infrastructure
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, low/high voltage, and troubleshooting techniques
• Familiarity with networking, software diagnostics, and IoT-connected devices is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Physical Requirements

Work Enviornment

• Field-based role with frequent travel across WA
• Combination of indoor and outdoor work environments
• On-call or after-hours work may be required as needed

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive base salary of $75K - $110K per year based on experience and skills
