Job summary

Rivian is seeking an Audit Technician to support the internal audit program and ensure ongoing compliance with the Quality Management System. This role will perform audits, collect objective evidence, identify gaps, and support timely follow‑up of corrective actions across manufacturing and support functions.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in internal auditing or quality roles and a basic understanding of IATF 16949 or ISO 9001.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in internal auditing, quality, manufacturing, inspection, compliance, or a related operational role.
• Prior audit experience required; degree not required.
• Basic understanding of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, or comparable quality management system requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures, records, forms, and manufacturing or quality documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately and objectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across functions.
• Basic proficiency with Google Workspace and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Audit Execution: Conduct audits across process, product, layered, and system levels per plan; review docs and collect objective evidence; document nonconformities and improvement opportunities.
• Audit Reporting and Follow‑Up: Prepare audit reports, track findings, verify corrective actions, and support external audits when needed.
• QMS and Compliance Support: Support Rivian's Quality Manual and procedures; identify process gaps and help drive continuous improvement.
