Job summary

SEGULA Technologies seeks a skilled Power Electronics - Component Development Engineer to join a growing engineering team. You will validate HV AC/DC charging systems on components, benches, and full vehicles, analyze data, and collaborate with cross-functional engineers to troubleshoot and improve designs.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in automotive electrical/power electronics, a BS in engineering, and strong knowledge of CAN protocols, Vector tools, and industry standards for charging

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years in automotive electrical/power electronics engineering.
• Strong foundation in Electric Circuits and Power Electronics.
• Deep understanding of EV AC/DC charging architectures.
• Familiarity with SAE J1772, IEC 61851, and DIN 70121.
• Proficiency in CAN communication protocols.
• Experience with Vector CAN tools (CANalyzer, CANoe).
• MS Office Suite for data reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Validation & Testing: HV AC and DC charging validation on components/test benches and full vehicles.
• Data Analysis: Analyze test data to ensure performance, safety, and compliance.
• Issue Management: Document and track technical anomalies using IMS/PITS.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with DVE and DRE to troubleshoot component and system issues.
• Technical Review: Participate in data analysis and issue resolution meetings for continuous improvement.
