Job summary

City of San Antonio seeks an Automotive/EMV Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on emergency vehicles. The role requires a HS diploma or GED, at least six months of related experience, and pending Texas B CDL within 90 days.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months of related experience.
• Must obtain Texas B CDL within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance (oil changes, fluids, greasing, filters).
• Carry out minor repairs on alternators, brakes, belts, hoses, starters, wipers; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Complete work orders and safety checks on emergency vehicles.
• Assist in repairs including A/C and electrical systems.
• Operate and transport vehicles to worksites or vendors.
• Manage inventory, parts checkout/in, and salvageable parts.
