Job summary

North America Central School Bus in Milwaukee seeks a seasoned Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead two maintenance sites, including a new facility launch, and drive safe, reliable operations for the district's fleet.

You will strengthen preventative maintenance, safety compliance, and the adoption of EV maintenance practices while partnering with operations, dispatch, and leadership to shape the future of zero-emission student transportation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in the transportation industry with heavy- and medium-duty repair experience.
• 3+ years of direct maintenance shop supervision.
• Experience with alternate-fueled and/or EV technology preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• CDL required (training provided).
• Ability to work varied and early hours; professional and safety‑minded.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance teams across two sites in Milwaukee.
• Oversee setup and launch of the new facility.
• Improve preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and fleet reliability.
• Champion EV maintenance practices and technology adoption.
• Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and leadership.
• Manage diagnostics, shop workflow, and vendor relations.
• Define future direction for zero-emission student transport.
