Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general mechanic principles and basic repairs.
• Understanding of heavy-duty vehicle mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment and software.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, service manuals, and other references.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests using a range of equipment and tools.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on motor coaches and commercial vehicles.
• Operate servicing equipment (jacks, hoists, battery chargers, pumps, steamers) as directed.
• Carry out routine and major repairs and part exchanges as needed.
• Inspect engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems and report issues.
• Assist in complex repairs to build experience.
• Provide field service calls and repair equipment in the field.
• Maintain service records and documentation.
