Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for EV service center construction with 3–5 years of experience. You’ll support delivery, maintain dashboards, manage onboarding and POs, and coordinate vendor and team activities.

The role requires experience in construction project management, EV infrastructure exposure, and strong organizational skills. Travel may be required; on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in construction project management or related roles.
• Experience creating checklists from feasibility reports from vendors is preferable.
• Exposure to EV infrastructure or service center construction is beneficial.
• Familiarity with permitting and utility coordination processes.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of EV service center construction projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and timelines.
• Create checklists from feasibility reports from vendors.
• Manage onboarding processes for project team members and vendors.
• Maintain dashboards and trackers to monitor project progress, milestones, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate purchase orders (POs), document control, and project communications.
• Facilitate regular meetings and ensure timely flow of information between stakeholders.
• Track and update key project milestones to support schedule adherence.
• Assist with field coordination and issue resolution during construction.
• Ensure project documentation is complete, organized, and accessible.
• Support commissioning and close-out activities, including punch list tracking and final documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth project execution.
• Contribute to project reporting and status updates for internal and client stakeholders.
• Assist with onboarding new vendors and team members, ensuring smooth integration into project workflows.
• Support coordination of utility connections and permitting processes related to EV infrastructure.
• Help manage project budgets and track expenditures against forecasts.
• Monitor and report on safety compliance and site conditions during construction.
• Coordinate with IT and facilities teams to support integration of EV charging systems and operational technologies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and knowledge sharing across teams.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
