Apex Systems in Seattle, WA is seeking an EV Charging Systems Verification Engineer for a ~4‑month, high‑potential extension contract. The role is on-site in Seattle, involves 25% travel, and 40 hours/week with no OT.

Expect $60–$70/hr with a focus on rigorous testing, documentation, and validation of EV charging systems. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in electrical systems testing, hands-on experience with chargers, instrumentation, and power distribution, plus DFMEA and data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of electrical systems development, integration and testing experience.
• DFMEA experience required.
• Experience with EV charging hardware and systems is a plus.
• Strong documentation practices and lab safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform integration and testing of EV charging hardware and subsystems.
• Install hardware including EV chargers, instrumentation, and protective devices.
• Elicit and verify requirements for chargers, power supplies, inverters, and DC-DC converters.
• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Develop testing procedures for DC/AC power distribution, troubleshoot systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot distribution systems; develop maintenance/test procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage subcontractor relationships.
• Document results and generate test reports with leadership input.
• Prototype lab setup, ensure safety PPE and lab compliance.
