Job summary

Zero-Impact-Builders in California seeks an Electrical Apprentice to assist licensed electricians in EV charging and renewable energy projects. You will help with installation, maintenance, and repair, perform basic site inspections, and support field crews.

The role requires willingness to learn, basic electrical or construction experience, and the ability to work outdoors and travel as needed. Join a growing team delivering EV charging infrastructure, solar micro-grids, and energy storage

Qualifications

• Basic electrical or construction experience.
• ET Card is required.
• Willingness to learn EV charging systems, electrical diagnostics, and field service.
• Ability to work in outdoor field environments under varying conditions.
• Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems related to EV charging infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
• Support electrical work involving concrete, conduit, wire sizing, transformers and switchboards.
• Troubleshoot interoperability charging communication issues on DC fast chargers & adapters.
• Assist with operation of field equipment and basic site inspections and reporting of issues.
• Maintain job site safety, organization, and cleanliness at all times.
• Perform general site and operational tasks when electrical work is not available.
