Job summary

Zero Impact Builders is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to support installation, maintenance, and repair of EV charging infrastructure and renewable energy projects across Southern and Northern California. You will assist licensed electricians, operate field equipment, and help ensure site safety and efficient project execution.

Ideal candidates have basic electrical or construction experience, ET Card, and a strong willingness to learn EV charging systems and field processes.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical or construction experience required.
• ET Card
• Willingness to learn EV charging systems, electrical diagnostics, and field service processes.
• Ability to work in outdoor field environments under varying conditions.
• Willingness to travel domestically on occasion, as required by project needs.
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems related to EV charging infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
• Support electrical work involving: Concrete, Conduit, Wire sizing, Transformers and switchboards.
• Troubleshoot interoperability charging communication issues on DC fast chargers & adapters.
• Assist with operation of equipment such as bobcats, backhoes, and excavators (as qualified).
• Support field service activities related to EV charging equipment, including basic site inspections, visual checks, and reporting of issues.
• Assist senior technicians with onsite maintenance and repair tasks for EV charging stations.
