Job summary

Ecology Action is seeking a Northern California based Technical EV-C Project Manager to support property managers and electrical contractors in designing, constructing, and commissioning low-power and Level 2 load-managed EV charging infrastructure across multifamily properties and businesses in the SF Bay Area.

You will conduct site assessments, evaluate electrical loads, prepare site plans and cost estimates, and collaborate with property operators, contractors, and City/County planning to

Qualifications

• C-10 electrical contractor license or DIR certified electrician in CA (or in approved DIR apprenticeship).
• 5 years’ experience in construction/electrical trades, preferably multi-family/commercial.
• Experience and proficiency in EVSE installation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with EVSP vendor technical support teams.
• Familiarity with CA building code, electrical code Cal-Green, and EV charging permitting requirements.
• Experience managing client relationships and acting as owner’s representative.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Interest in transportation justice and community mobility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and electrical load studies for EV charging sites.
• Prepare technical reports and site plans with scope of work.
• Create construction estimates and evaluate bids from installation contractors.
• Present reports and estimates to property operators.
• Support contractors with bid packages and notices to proceed.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, and maintenance of EV chargers.
• Ensure safety protocols and regulatory compliance at sites.
• Communicate with property operators and cross‑department teams.
