Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking an EV charging Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance and repair of EV charging stations within the San Jose region. You will ensure safety, execute electrical/mechanical maintenance, and document field reports as required by contract.

The role requires 2+ years in electrical power equipment service, strong troubleshooting, and CMMS experience, with English fluency and readiness to work in varied field conditions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience servicing electrical power equipment in commercial/utility settings.
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using CMMS to generate and track work orders.
• Proficient in reading/writing/speaking English.
• Ability to work in various field conditions and remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs on EV chargers from Level 2 to DC Fast.
• Conduct insulation tests, thermal imaging, torque tests, and performance evaluations.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and locate ground faults.
• Coordinate with Planning and Scheduling to meet work orders.
• Review site manuals and drawings for proper service.
