Crash Champions is seeking a skilled body technician in Illinois to inspect and plan vehicle repairs, perform quality frame work, and supervise apprentices as needed. You will work with a team to ensure safe, efficient repairs and timely communication of status.

The role requires frame machine experience, body repair certification, knowledge of vehicle repair processes, and I-CAR welding certification. A thorough background check is required for employment.

Qualifications

• Ability to use frame machine.
• Certification in body repair preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification.
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must be able to pass thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Communicates with others on repair status.
• Performs quality repairs while maintaining on-time status.
• Makes repair vs. replace decisions considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and other parts to access areas.
• Participates in safety meetings.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces with power/hand tools.
• Directs an apprentice when needed and explains procedures.
