Job summary

ASML US in San Diego seeks a Research Engineer for the 2nd shift to support the EUV light source research on proto machines. You will work with scientists to understand and execute learning activities, provide system-level support, and help prepare technical documentation.

Requirements include an MS with 3+ years (or BS with 5+ years) in optics/physics related fields and strong cross-functional collaboration skills. On-site, with a salary range of $125,600–$172,700 per year.

Qualifications

• MS degree with 3+ years of experience or BS with 5+ years in optics, opto-mechanics, electrical/photonics, physics, or related engineering.
• Experience in technical engineering roles and familiarity with EUV light sources is highly desired.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting ability and capability to work across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Understand, prepare, and execute research learning activities on the EUV proto machine.
• Develop procedures, troubleshooting plans, and action steps for module integration.
• Maintain issue ownership and support data collection, analysis, and reporting for test campaigns.
• Deliver progress reports and presentations to management and internal/external customers.
• Collaborate with scientists to translate TPS concepts into test sequences for proto machines.
