EUV First Line Support (FLS) Production Engineering Manager (2nd Shift)

Introduction to the job

ASML US develops lithography machines critical for producing advanced microchips. We are seeking a Group Lead (Manager) to oversee the FLS department in EUV Production Engineering, responsible for NXE Modules on second shift. The role involves managing engineers across disciplines, driving process improvements, and supporting structural problem solving in NXE modules.

Role and responsibilities
  1. Manage personnel activities including recruiting, onboarding, training, mentoring, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  2. Develop and maintain the department's long-term financial plan, including Target Annual Plan (TAP).
  3. Support project development and participate in Configuration Control Board meetings.
  4. Represent and support the Production Engineering teams in management reviews and cross-sector meetings.
  5. Collaborate with development engineers to optimize design solutions for manufacturability and diagnostics.
  6. Lead the development and maintenance of manufacturing processes for modules.
  7. Investigate technical issues analytically and physically within a production environment.
  8. Support operations to deliver quality modules on time.
  9. Report on production status, escalate issues as needed.
  10. Drive cross-sector teams to uphold high quality standards for products and tooling.
Education and experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required; MS or MBA preferred.
  • At least 5+ years in manufacturing with 2+ years in leadership roles managing teams.
Preferred skills
  • Leadership experience in engineering groups.
  • Manufacturing process development expertise.
  • Experience with manufacturing readiness and product industrialization.
  • Budget management for equipment and staffing.
  • Background in manufacturing engineering and electromechanical interfaces is a plus.
Skills

Effective communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and adaptability are essential. Ability to interpret data, focus on quality, and drive improvements are also required.

Other information

This role involves working in a cleanroom environment, operating around machinery and chemicals, and may require travel. Physical demands include lifting up to 20 pounds.

Additional considerations

This position requires access to controlled technology under U.S. Export Regulations. Candidates must be legally authorized to access such technology.
