Job summary

Leidos is seeking a European/Continental Portuguese Instructor to support a high-priority mission. These are full-time, in-person positions requiring language instruction and assessment responsibilities.

Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph and be eligible for clearance upgrade. Responsibilities include 3-5 hours of daily instruction across ILR levels 0-3, developing customized materials, undergoing sponsor training to become a certified tester, and conducting weekly

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; substitutions allowed for additional experience.
• 3+ years of direct adult teaching experience or 8–12 years of relevant experience, or a master’s with 6–10 years of relevant experience.
• Team teaching experience is a plus.
• Must demonstrate Senior level proficiency in developing instructional materials for adults.
• Familiarity with ILR scale and current events in the target language.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3–5 hours of language instruction per day across ILR 0-3 levels.
• Develop tailored instructional materials and training aids for student objectives.
• Undergo sponsor-provided training to become a certified language tester.
• Conduct 3-4 language proficiency assessments per week after certification.
• Teach language through cultural immersion and current events, collaborating with senior instructors.
