Job summary

Atlas Advisors, LLC is seeking qualified language instructors to provide foreign language education and training for the US military. Instructors will be engaged in the Nation’s Capital Region, Mobile Training Team locations, or at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California.

The position requires native fluency in the target language, a minimum of a baccalaureate degree, and relevant teaching experience. Competitive compensation and additional benefits such as housing and transportation may be provided.

Qualifications

• At least two years of successful experience in teaching adults using proficiency-oriented methods.
• Four years teaching the target language to adult learners in an intensive environment.

Atlas Advisors, LLC (ATLAS) is looking for qualified and motivated language instructors to join the The Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFL) mission. Instructors will provide culturally based foreign language education and training to the US military in the Nation’s Capital Region (NCR), Mobile Training Team (MTT) locations, or at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California.

Requirements

• Native Speaker in Target Language
• Baccalaureate degree or higher
• At least two (2) years of successful relevant experience in intensive training, teaching adults using proficiency-oriented methods and materials aimed at ILR skill levels 2 and 3
• At least four (4) years in teaching the target language to adult learners in an intensive, proficiency-oriented environment

Desired Qualifications

• Experience writing and executing weekly lesson plans
• Experience successfully using educational technology tools to enhance student learning
