Job summary

Atlas Advisors in Washington, DC is seeking qualified language instructors to provide foreign language education to the US military. Instructors will train at the Defense Language Institute and various locations in the Nation's Capital Region.

Ideal candidates are native speakers of Eastern European languages, hold a Baccalaureate degree, and have significant experience in teaching adults using effective training methods. Competitive compensation, housing, and transportation may be provided.

Atlas Advisors, LLC (ATLAS) is looking for qualified and motivated language instructors to join the The Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFL) mission. Instructors will provide culturally based foreign language education and training to the US military in the Nation’s Capital Region (NCR), Mobile Training Team (MTT) locations, or at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California.

Requirements

EASTERN EUROPEAN DLI LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Native Speaker in Target Language
• Baccalaureate degree or higher
• At least two (2) years of successful relevant experience in intensive training, teaching adults using proficiency-oriented methods and materials aimed at ILR skill levels 2 and 3.
• At least four (4) years in teaching the target language to adult learners in an intensive, proficiency-oriented environment

EASTERN EUROPEAN DLI LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience writing and executing weekly lesson plans
• Experience successfully using educational technology tools to enhance student learning

Language Requirements

Language Fluency Requirements
