Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking an experienced European Automotive Technician in Arlington, VA for a busy independent repair facility specializing in European brands. The role offers a production-based pay structure, with hourly rates ranging from $40 to $65 depending on level and production, and a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends.

Techs will work in a heated and air-conditioned 11-bay shop equipped with factory and aftermarket diagnostic tools, with a backlog of appointments and weekly

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in European automotive repair
• Experience with European brands (BMW, MINI, Mercedes, Audi, VW, Porsche, Volvo)
• Ability to perform advanced diagnostics with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair European vehicles in a busy shop
• Perform mechanical repairs with strong productivity and quality
• Use factory and aftermarket diagnostic equipment to identify concerns
• Conduct advanced diagnostics at A- or B-Level as needed
• Document repairs and vehicle data with systems like FastTrak
• Maintain consistent production and own assigned work
• Participate in ongoing technical training and development
