Job summary

Vanderlande seeks a Finance Team Lead Tax & Compliance Europe to lead the regional tax and compliance function, ensuring strong governance and compliant global operations across Europe. You will drive cross-country tax processes, collaborate with Group Tax, Finance, Legal, and local teams, and mentor the European tax professionals.

You will translate regulatory changes into practical guidance, manage risks, and advance process improvements while supporting business projects with strategic tax

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in tax, tax compliance, or related finance function within an international environment.
• Experience leading, coaching, or coordinating a team.
• Strong knowledge of corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and general tax compliance requirements.
• Experience with tax authorities, auditors, and external advisors.
• Experience with process improvement and standardization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Europe Tax & Compliance team.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant execution of tax compliance and reporting activities across Europe.
• Coordinate corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other tax compliance activities with Group Tax and local Finance teams.
• Support transfer pricing compliance activities and documentation requirements.
• Act as a key contact for tax authorities, auditors, external advisors, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify and manage tax risks, escalate issues, and implement solutions.
• Translate changes in tax legislation into practical guidance for the business.
• Maintain and improve tax controls, documentation, and compliance processes.
• Drive standardization and process improvements across European tax activities.
