Job summary

Fuse Energy is seeking a senior professional to own data centre development in Europe end-to-end, from market entry strategy to energisation. You will evaluate markets like Spain or Ireland, identify sites, and manage financing and stakeholder engagement with investors and regulators.

The role requires deep knowledge of European grid and permitting processes, and a proven track record in large infrastructure delivery. Willingness to travel across Europe and potential language extras are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience developing data centres or large-scale infrastructure projects in Europe from early stage through delivery.
• Deep knowledge of European data centre geographies, grid capacity, and power markets.
• Strong understanding of planning, permitting, environmental assessment, and regulator processes in Europe.
• Experience with project finance, investor relations, and structuring financing for infrastructure.
• Highly analytical, self-directed, and able to take ownership in complex projects.
• Willingness to travel across Europe; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own data centre development in Europe end-to-end, from market entry strategy to energisation.
• Evaluate and prioritise country markets (Spain or Ireland) based on power, grid timelines, land, and incentives.
• Identify and assess sites from technical, planning, power, and infrastructure perspectives.
• Structure and support development financing with investors and lenders.
• Lead planning, permitting, environmental assessment, and stakeholder engagement in each jurisdiction.
• Mitigate technical, commercial, and development risks to ensure deliverability and scalability.
• Ensure projects meet construction requirements and can be delivered at speed.
