Job summary

UMGC Europe is seeking adjunct History faculty to teach on-site in Poland (Zagan) for the History program. A Master’s degree in History or related field is required, with professional experience in History. Local applicants only; no UMGC logistical support is provided. Applicants must maintain legal status in the host country.

Preferred: experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education. Submit resume and cover letter; translations may be required for international degrees.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in History or related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional experience in History or related field.
• Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.
• Local applicants only.
• Adjunct positions not eligible for UMGC logistical support.
• Applicants must have and maintain their own legal status in the country of teaching.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage students through regular interaction and foster enthusiasm for learning.
• Guide students in collaborative and project-based learning demonstrations.
• Provide regular constructive feedback using rubrics to assess student work.
• Demonstrate current subject-matter expertise and connect concepts across the program.
• Provide feedback to the program chair on curricular improvements.
