Job summary

The EUC Senior Engineer at Sidley Austin LLP leads the design, implementation, and support of the end-user computing environment to deliver secure, reliable workstation services. You will work across IT teams to automate configurations, patching, software distribution, and endpoint management while maintaining documentation and standards.

Responsibilities include evaluating new tools, maintaining a solid knowledge base, and providing 24x7 on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience supporting and engineering desktop technologies in an enterprise environment.
• Advanced experience with Windows workstation operating systems (Windows 10/11).
• Advanced experience with application packaging, software distribution, endpoint patching, and deployment troubleshooting.
• Experience with macOS and Jamf.
• Experience managing Windows endpoints using Intune or comparable MDM/EMM solution.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, IPv4).
• Experience developing technical documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical SME for Firm workstation technologies including Windows OS and endpoint configuration.
• Design, implement, maintain, and support desktop management solutions using listed tools.
• Monitor and analyze workstation environment; develop queries, reports, and inventory data.
• Document and maintain patching, software distribution, and deployment processes.
• Diagnose and resolve complex workstation and app issues with cross-team collaboration.
• Collaborate with EUC & Remote Access Manager to evaluate and enhance software distribution solutions.
• Document and maintain the Firm-standard workstation environment (BIOS, drivers, policies).
• Develop automated scripts and tools to improve configuration, deployment, and support.
• Coordinate hardware evaluation and testing with QA for deployments.
