ETRM Systems Specialist — RightAngle Expert

Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking an ETRM Specialist to support, enhance, and optimize RightAngle and related trading systems in our Texas operations. You will translate business requirements into technical solutions, work across trading, risk, accounting, scheduling, and IT teams, and drive ongoing stability and improvements.

You will leverage strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex issues, design system enhancements, and participate in testing, release planning, and IT governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, MIS, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience with ETRM systems such as Right Angle.
• Hands-on experience with RightAngle development, configuration, and support (S21 or later).
• 4+ years of experience developing within the .NET framework.
• 4+ years of experience with Oracle or SQL Server including stored procedures.
• Proficient in VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, HTML, XML, JSON, PHP, JavaScript and SQL.
• Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, BizTalk, Data Integrator.
• Experience with SQL reporting services, web servers and portals.
• Proficient in testing tools (Win/LT? and LoadRunner), TFS/Azure DevOps.
• Proficient in Waterfall and Agile methodologies, ITIL familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day production support for ETRM system and integrations.
• Diagnose root causes across layers, drive timely resolution.
• Support end users across front, middle, back-office functions.
• Maintain understanding of trading workflows: capture, scheduling, settlements, risk reporting.
• Gather and document requirements for enhancements and configurations.
• Partner with dev teams to design and test system enhancements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration testing and assist UAT.
• Participate in release and change management and IT governance.
• Monitor interfaces between RightAngle and downstream systems.
• Review ETL logs and resolve issues with SSIS, BizTalk, or similar.
• Ensure data accuracy for deals, prices, inventory movements, settlements.
• Support month-end close and inventory reconciliation.
• Document configuration changes, workflows, and support procedures.
