Job summary

NTT DATA seeks an experienced ETRM Business Analyst focusing on Back Office, Accounting & Regulatory Reporting to support a large-scale trading platform transformation. You will partner with Operations, Accounting, Finance, Compliance and IT to gather requirements and design future-state processes for a modern ETRM solution.

Qualifications

• 5–6+ years BA/functional experience in ETRM, commodity trading or energy.
• Strong Back Office knowledge: settlements, invoicing, confirmations, payments.
• Strong energy accounting knowledge: accruals, P&L, GL postings.
• ETRM implementation experience with Endur/Allegro/RightAngle/Orchestrade; ERP/GL integrations.
• Strong requirements, data and testing capabilities including SQL, UAT and cross-team communication.

• Ensure financial data quality and reconciliation.
• Support trade/data migration, accounting mappings, settlement validation, reconciliation and regulatory/reporting data validation.
• Lead functional testing and business readiness.

Your next challenge

We are seeking an experienced ETRM (Energy Trading & Risk Management) Business Analyst specializing in Back Office, Accounting & Regulatory Reporting to support a large-scale energy trading platform transformation. In this role, you will partner with Operations, Accounting, Finance, Compliance, and Technology teams to gather business requirements, design future-state processes, and help deliver a modern ETRM solution that supports the full trade lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Own Back Office and Accounting requirements.
• Gather and document requirements covering confirmations, invoicing, settlements, payments, accruals, accounting, taxation where applicable, and regulatory reporting.
• Design future-state Back Office processes
• Analyze existing processes and define future-state workflows, controls and functional requirements within the ETRM platform.
• Define accounting and downstream integrations
• Specify mappings and interfaces between the ETRM platform and ERP/General Ledger, payment systems, reporting platforms and other downstream applications.
• Ensure financial data quality and reconciliation.
• Support trade/data migration, accounting mappings, settlement validation, reconciliation and regulatory/reporting data validation.
• Lead functional testing and business readiness.

Required Experience

• 5–6+ years of BA / functional experience, preferably within ETRM, commodity trading or energy organizations.
• Strong Back Office knowledge, including settlements, invoicing, confirmations, payment processes and trade lifecycle controls.
• Strong energy accounting knowledge, including accruals, realized/unrealized P&L, accounting events, GL postings and reconciliation.
• ETRM implementation experience, preferably with Endur, Allegro, RightAngle, Aligne, Orchestrade or equivalent; experience integrating ETRM with ERP/GL systems highly desirable.
• Strong requirements, data and testing capabilities, including process mapping, functional specifications, SQL/data analysis, UAT and effective communication with Operations, Accounting, Finance, Compliance and IT.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience within Energy, Commodities Trading, Oil & Gas, Power, Natural Gas, LNG, or related industries.
• Industry certifications related to ETRM platforms.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• ETRM platform certifications are highly desirable.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is up to $150,000. This range reflects the maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
