Job summary

NTT DATA, Europe & LATAM, Branch in USA, Inc. is seeking an experienced ETRM Business Analyst with a specialization in Risk Management to support a large-scale energy trading platform transformation.

You will partner with Trading, Risk, Operations and Technology to define business requirements and design future-state processes for a modern ETRM solution. Responsibilities include owning risk management functional requirements, validating outputs, and facilitating workshops to ensure the solution

Qualifications

• 5–6+ years of Business Analysis in ETRM/commodity trading environments.
• Strong Risk Management expertise: P&L, positions, valuations, VaR, sensitivities, limits.
• Hands-on experience with ETRM platforms (Endur is highly valuable).
• Knowledge of commodity trading lifecycle: Power, Natural Gas, Crude/Liquids, LNG.

Responsibilities

• Own Risk Management functional requirements.
• Document requirements for P&L, positions, exposures, valuations and risk reporting.
• Design ETRM risk processes and translate into future-state specifications.
• Validate pricing, valuation and risk outputs with stakeholders.
• Support data migration, testing (SIT/UAT) and defect management.
• Bridge Risk, Trading and Technology to ensure requirements are met.

We are seeking an experienced ETRM (Energy Trading & Risk Management) Business Analyst with a specialization in Risk Management to support a large-scale energy trading platform transformation. In this role, you will partner with Trading, Risk, Operations, and Technology stakeholders to define business requirements, design future-state processes, and ensure the successful implementation of a modern ETRM solution

Responsibilities:

• Own Risk Management functional requirements.
• Gather, analyze and document business requirements covering P&L, positions, exposures, valuations, VaR, sensitivities, limits and risk reporting.
• Design ETRM risk processes and solutions.
• Translate business requirements into future-state processes and functional specifications, working with ETRM functional and technical teams to define the appropriate solution.
• Validate pricing, valuation and risk outputs.
• Work with Risk and Trading teams to validate curves, market data, valuations, P&L calculations, exposures and risk metrics produced by the new platform.
• Support integration, data and testing activities.
• Define functional requirements for market-data and downstream integrations, support data migration/reconciliation, prepare test scenarios, execute/support SIT and UAT, and manage defects.
• Act as the bridge between Risk, Trading and Technology
• Facilitate workshops, resolve functional issues, support business decisions and ensure the implemented solution meets Risk and Trading requirements.

Required Experience:

• 5–6+ years of Business Analysis / functional consulting experience, with significant experience in ETRM/commodity trading environments.
• Strong Risk Management expertise, including P&L, positions/exposures, valuations, VaR, sensitivities, limits and market-risk reporting.
• Hands-on experience with an ETRM platform such as Endur, Allegro, RightAngle, Orchestrade or equivalent; Endur particularly valuable.
• Strong understanding of commodity trading and the trade lifecycle, preferably Power, Natural Gas, Crude/Liquids or LNG.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder-management capabilities, including requirements management, SQL/data analysis, functional specifications, testing/UAT and interaction with traders and risk teams.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience within Energy, Commodities Trading, Oil & Gas, Power, Natural Gas, LNG, or related industries.
• Industry certifications related to ETRM platforms.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• ETRM platform certifications are highly desirable.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is up to $150,000. This range reflects the maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
