Job summary

TPI Global Solutions is seeking an ETO Mechanical Design Engineer to develop customized mechanical designs that meet customer, site, and application requirements. You will create detailed 3D models and production drawings and collaborate with sales, applications engineering, and customers to clarify requirements.

You will ensure designs comply with standards, coordinate with manufacturing, suppliers, and operations to ensure manufacturability and on-time delivery, support quotations and changes,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing sheet metal enclosures for customer-specific applications.
• Experience in Engineer-to-Order environments supporting sales and order execution.
• Familiarity with ERP and PLM systems.
• Knowledge of automation tools like iLogic, VB.NET, Python, or C#/C++.

Responsibilities

• Develop and release custom mechanical designs in an ETO environment.
• Create 3D models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor and Creo.
• Collaborate with sales, applications, and customers to clarify requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with standards and guidelines.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, suppliers, and operations to ensure manufacturability and delivery.
• Support quotation, order execution, and change management.
• Create and maintain BOMs, drawings, and change documentation in ERP/PLM.
• Resolve design/manufacturing issues and apply lessons learned.
• Balance speed, accuracy, and quality in a high-mix environment.
