Job description

Perform as technical lead on software development projects with responsibility for overall delivery of software components. Participate in architectural decisions, technical design and implementation of application systems. Work with architects, analysts, development team, and testing to implement enhancements or new applications. Ensures coding, unit and/or system testing, and documents changes are aligned with the desired results. Direct the work of application designers, developers and QA teams. Ensure project delivery timelines, quality, cost and architectural alignment.

Responsibilities:

• -Provides technical supervision and drives project/service delivery.
• -Responsible for detailed technical design and development of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms.
• -Conducts analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.
• -Participates in architectural decisions, technical design of application systems
• -Oversees work of technical delivery team with systems designs and specifications and utilizing standard procedures and techniques.
• -Interfaces with system designers to design and implement application programs.
• -Participates in post-implementation reviews of both application development content and process to maximize and share learning.
• -Provides leadership in troubleshooting and correcting production issues.
• -Directs work of application designers, developers and QA teams.
• -Ensures project delivery timelines, quality, budget and architectural alignment.
• -Ensures application design is architecturally aligned.
• -Reviews the deliverables – code and documentation - for its correctness and standards

Basic Qualifications:

• -Bachelor’s Degree
• -6 years of experience in IT Development and Support
• -3 Years’ experience in Application Design & Development using ETL, SQL, and Unix Scripting
• -2 year experience as a technical lead
• -2 year experience using Ab Initio

Preferred Qualifications:

• -Experience with the Teradata and/or DB2 database platforms and MVS/Cobol
• -8-10 Years of IT experience in developing & designing Data warehousing applications
• -Experience with the Agile delivery methodology.
• -Experience in global delivery methodology
• -Experience in designing and/or architecting complex data warehouse applications
