Job description

Responsibilities

• Experience with Data Stage and ETL design
• Requirement gathering, converting business requirements to technical specs for profiling
• Hands‑on work on at least 2 projects with Data Stage
• Understanding of the process of developing an ETL design that supports multiple Data Stage developers
• Create an ETL design framework and related specifications for use by ETL developers
• Define standards and best practices of Data Stage ETL to be followed by all developers
• Understanding of Data Warehouse, Data marts concepts and implementation experience
• Review code produced to ensure conformance with the developed ETL framework and design for reuse
• Preferred experienced user‑level competency in IBM's metadata product, Data Stage and InfoSphere product line
• Design ETL for Oracle, SQL Server or any database
• Good analytical skills and process design
• Ensuring compliance to quality standards, and delivery timelines
• Perform highly complex application programming and systems development and support
• Perform highly complex configuration of business rules and technical parameters of software products
• Review business requirements and develop application design documentation
• Build technical components (Maximo objects, TRM Rules, Java extensions, etc.) based on detailed design
• Perform unit testing of components along with necessary documentation
• Support product test, user acceptance test, etc. as a member of the fix‑it team
• Employ consistent measurement techniques and include testing in project plans, establishing controls to require adherence to test plans
• Manage interrelationships among various projects or work objectives
