Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced IT professional in Arlington, TX to lead implementation and support of Informatica PowerCenter and IDMC, along with Tibco, Splunk, and DR readiness. You will configure production, QA, development, and disaster recovery environments and ensure data integrity through backups and performance tuning.

The role requires 5-7 years in information systems, UNIX proficiency, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work/military experience preferred.
• 5-7 years of overall experience in Information Systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide implementation and support of Informatica Power Center, Informatica Cloud tools (IDMC), Tibco Data Virtualization, Splunk including patches and upgrades for environments.
• Set up and configuration of enterprise production, QA, development and disaster recovery environments.
• Back-up and recovery of software, repository and configurations.
• Disaster recovery planning, design, execution and documentation.
• Monitoring environments and suggesting improvements for stability and performance tuning.
• Provide technical support and work with infrastructure teams to ensure an effective operating environment including throughput, repository sizing, capacity planning and maintenance.
• Make proposals and participate in the planning of new and enhanced technologies or services within area of expertise.
• Define standards and implement best practices to manage and support all environments.
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, deployment diagrams and checklists.
• Automating routine tasks where appropriate.
• Develop operating system scripts, data transfers, monitoring, etc.

Requirements

• Knowledge of business processes for supported business groups.
• Knowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards and best practices.
• Knowledgeable of best practices in information technology governance and regulatory landscape for financial institutions.
• Significant experience in a large and complex business environment.
• Knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure and operations.
• Working knowledge of information systems and operations systems for supported business groups.
• Must have advanced knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter on UNIX and Informatica Cloud tools (IDMC).
• Must have moderate knowledge using UNIX (IBM AIX a plus); UNIX scripting knowledge is important.
• Office software including strong ability to analyze data using Excel for reporting and data mining purposes.
• Strong people skills including the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to meet expected delivery dates and the tasks necessary to achieve objectives.
• Must be a self-starter with a strong attention to detail and able to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Flexible schedule including on call rotation with possibility of working long hours including weekends/holidays, occasional overtime or split shifts may be required.
