Job summary

ICF is seeking a Data Engineer in Reston, VA to join a team delivering data solutions for utility and energy clients. You will design and optimize ETL processes, work with SSIS packages, and collaborate with analysts to ensure accurate data delivery across systems.

Initial ramp requires in-office presence 2–3 days per week, then about 1 day weekly; occasional travel to other ICF locations. Strong SQL skills and a CS degree are required, with 2+ years in SQL and 1+ year in SSIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field
• 2+ years experience working with SQL (e.g., query tuning, writing procedures/functions, building views)
• 1+ year(s) experience developing/optimizing SSIS packages with design to maximize flexibility and standardization

Responsibilities

• Develop data integration solutions with team, sharing requirements and designs
• Monitor executions for anomalies and troubleshoot data-related issues
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and architects to deliver robust data solutions
• Travel to Reston HQ for ramp-up 2–3 days a week; then 1 day per week in-office
