Eleven Recruiting is seeking an experienced ETL Engineer in Los Angeles, CA for a leading financial services client. The role focuses on maintaining and modernizing ETL pipelines, improving performance, and supporting cloud-native migrations with SQL Server, SSIS, and Python.

Ideal candidates will have 6–10+ years of data engineering experience, strong SQL skills, and familiarity with cloud platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Data Factory. Some weekend/on-call support may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field.
• 6–10+ years of data engineering in production environments.
• Strong experience with SQL Server and SSIS, designing, maintaining, debugging ETL packages.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python; familiarity with one system language (C#, Java, C++) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory) is preferred.
• Excellent communication and ability to clarify requirements for stakeholders.

Our client, a leading financial services firm, is seeking an ETL Engineer to join their team in Los Angeles, CA!

Responsibilities

• Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot business-critical ETL pipelines built with SQL Server and SSIS.
• Modernize legacy ETL workflows to improve performance, resilience, and operational efficiency; contribute to longer-term migrations toward cloud-native patterns.
• Participate in incremental adoption of Microsoft Fabric or other cloud technologies as modernization progresses.
• Evaluate trade-offs and make practical technical decisions that balance long-term modernization with day-to-day operational needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 6–10+ years of data engineering experience supporting business critical workflows in production environments.
• Strong, hands-on experience with SQL Server and SSIS, including designing, maintaining, debugging, and optimizing ETL packages.
• Expertise in SQL performance tuning, stored procedures, and relational modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python; familiarity with one system language (e.g., C#, Java, C++) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or other cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory) is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clarify requirements and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work schedules that provide meaningful overlap with Pacific Time.
• Willingness to participate in occasional weekend or off-hours support activities.
• Experience in the Investment Management or Asset Management industry will be beneficial.

Pay Rate: $80 - $90/hr
