Job summary

Gemini Solutions Pvt Ltd in the United States is seeking a data engineer to maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot time-sensitive ETL pipelines built on SSIS and SQL Server. You will ensure critical business processes run on time and address issues promptly.

The role involves modernizing legacy ETL workflows for better performance and stability, and helping drive incremental adoption of Microsoft Fabric. Strong SQL, Python, and communication skills are essential for frontline business support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server and SSIS, including design and maintenance of live mission-critical workloads.
• SQL performance tuning, stored procedure optimization, relational modeling.
• 5+ years of data engineering experience supporting business-critical workloads and handling frontline business issues and inquiries.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python; familiarity with one system language (C#/Java) is a plus but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills to clarify requirements and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Ensure that the day to day operational processes complete in a timely manner and any business issues are addressed.


• Modernize Legacy ETL workflows to improve performance, stability


• Help drive the incremental adoption of Microsoft Fabric at the firm


• Evaluate trade offs and make practical technical decisions that balance long term platform sustainability with immediate commercial outcomes


• Work Pacific Hours (8a-4p)


• Occasional Weekend Support Activity or off hours support activities

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters in Comp Science or related fields


• Strong hand on experience with SQL Server and SSIS. Including design, maintenance of live mission critical workloads


• SQL Performance tuning, stored procedure optimization, relational modeling


• 5+ years experience in data engineering supporting business critical workloads and dealing with front line business issues and enquiries


• SQL , Python. Familiarity with one system language (e.g. C#, Java ) will be nice to have but not mandatory


• Excellent communication skills, with ability to ask questions to clarify requirements and explain technical concepts to nontechnical audience

Experience in Asset management , Financial Services or Investment Management will be a big plus
