Job summary

Visionisys is seeking an ETL DataStage Developer located in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will have vast experience in core development on Datastage, strong capabilities in designing ETL processes, and proficiency in RDBMS and Unix scripting.

This full-time position requires a commitment to quality, adherence to standards, and effective collaboration with QA teams to ensure timely resolution of issues. Candidates should have hands-on experience with at least two end-to-end implementations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct requirement analysis, design, development, and testing for DWH/BI projects.
• Prepare high level design and low level design documentation.
• Assist QA team in resolving bugs/enhancements timely.
• Participate in peer reviews and adhere to standards.

Job Description

• Candidate should have experience in Core development on Datastage version 8 and above
• In depth experience in strategies and design of ETL processes
• Well versed with RDBMS and Unix Scripting
• Development and Implementation experience on at least 2 end‑to‑end implementations
• Experience in requirement analysis, design, development, testing for DWH/BI projects
• Client interaction, requirement gathering and working with offshore teams
• Prepare high level design and low level design documentation
• Closely work with the QA team so that the bugs/enhancements are resolved in a timely manner
• Knowledge in any of the automation tools such as Control‑M or AutoSys
• Adhere to standards and schedules
• Performance tuning of Datastage jobs, Unix scripts and SQL statements
• Participate in peer reviews
