The successful candidate will have a J.D., be licensed, and possess strong legal research and writing skills to translate complex ethics rules into practical guidance for attorneys and staff.

Qualifications

• J.D. and current license to practice law in the state of residence.
• Minimum of two years in legal ethics, conflicts of interest, or professional responsibility.
• Experience with conflicts clearance processes, engagement terms, outside counsel guidelines, waivers, or ethics walls preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication, with ability to translate complex ethics concepts into practical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing policies and processes for ethics and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as a resource for conflicts of interest questions on new matters and engagements.
• Review and approve engagement letters, waivers, and outside counsel guidelines; draft ethics walls.
• Supervise and train conflicts analysts; provide ongoing feedback on firm policies.
• Advise partners on ethics and risk-management matters; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Conduct legal research on ethics rules and monitor changes in professional conduct.
• Support Office of General Counsel projects and protect confidential information.
