Job summary

Stellantis NV in Auburn, Alabama seeks an Ethernet Tech Lead with deep embedded software and system architecture experience to define reliable communication across SOME/IP, CAN-over-Ethernet, DDS and MQTT. You will optimize networks for low latency and high throughput on SoC platforms and contemporary RTOS environments.

You will collaborate with OS, hypervisor and middleware teams, guide development, review designs, and ensure safety and cybersecurity alignment with ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the design, analysis, development and integration of SOME/IP as well as other communication technologies such as CAN-over-Ethernet (PSOME/IP, raw PDUs), DDS, MQTT, and related protocols
• Collaborate with OS, hypervisor, and middleware teams to enable robust inter-domain communication
• Optimize communication architecture for latency, throughput, resource usage, and determinism in real-time and virtualized environments (e.g., QNX, Linux, Android GVM)
• Debug and troubleshoot ethernet communication related issues across hardware and software layers using tools like JTAG, tracing frameworks, and logic analyzers
• Implement safety- and security-aware features impacted by ethernet based communications aligned with ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434
• Provide technical guidance to specialists (and/or technical references) in their field of expertise
• Transfers knowledge internally via trainings and expertise webinars
