Job summary

Jobot in California, Rancho Cucamonga area, is seeking an Alcohol Department Manager to lead alcohol recovery, distillation, fermentation, and ethanol production on the plant floor. This hands-on leadership role oversees ~12 employees to drive production efficiency and safety.

You will work closely with maintenance teams, optimize process yields, monitor KPIs, and implement continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining regulatory compliance and SOP adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Process, Industrial Engineering or related.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in ethanol production or related industries.
• Experience with distillation, evaporation, fermentation, and related processes.
• Proven ability to lead production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Hands-on troubleshooting with process equipment and operational bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership of alcohol recovery, distillation, fermentation, and ethanol production operations.
• Lead the department to ensure safe, efficient, compliant plant performance.
• Coach and develop operators, technicians, and production personnel; monitor safety and quality goals.
• Maintain a strong presence on the production floor; support operators and maintenance teams.
• Analyze process data and KPIs to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for production issues.
• Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process optimization efforts.
