Job summary

Dakota Ethanol is expanding production in Wentworth, SD. The Plant Operator will operate plant equipment, boilers, water treatment and batch processes, with rotating day/night shifts and 12-hour shifts (7pm–7am). Emphasis on QC analyses and documentation to ensure optimum performance.

Position requires post-secondary education or related experience. Benefits offered include health insurance, 401(k) with company match, PTO/holidays, and a $2,000 new-hire bonus. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education, technical trade certificate, or process operations experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant processes and DCS control system.
• Perform quality control tests on product streams.
• Follow start-up, shutdown, cleaning and batching procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs and communicate shift status to the next operator.
• Load trucks with product using equipment to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and comply with OSHA requirements.
