Job summary

Tidal Financial Group is seeking a skilled Trading Associate to implement and manage ETF portfolios. The role requires deep market understanding, analytical acumen, and a proven trade management track record within risk-reward frameworks.

You’ll be part of the ETF Portfolio Management team handling day-to-day portfolio management, trading, and operational support across global asset classes. Chicago-area proximity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, finance, accounting, economics, or related fields.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience, preferably with an ETF or trading background.
• Strong Excel skills; VBA/Bloomberg/Python are a plus.
• Proactive problem solver with dedication and ability to tackle challenges efficiently.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Be a key member of portfolio management, managing portfolios and liaising with clients.
• Provide operational support through portfolio monitoring, trade execution, and reporting.
• Collaborate with trading team on trade prep, execution, rebalances, and ETF baskets.
• Understand and improve firm policies and procedures for compliant portfolio management.
