Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Austin, TX is hiring an Etch Process Technician to join a fast-paced, high-volume fab environment building leading semiconductor devices. You will work with technicians and engineers to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve etch processes, with a focus on root-cause analysis, standardization, and 5S.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience in high-volume Etch semiconductor manufacturing.
• 300mm Dry Etch experience is highly desired.
• Familiarity with Lam, AMAT, TEL, Mattson, and PSK platforms; SPC methods knowledge.
• Detail-oriented with strong teamwork and customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain Etch tools with root-cause thinking and 5S mindset.
• Perform tool qualifications, lot dispositions, and interlock troubleshooting.
• Conduct trend monitoring and drive corrective actions with Layer Owners.
• Draft and revise SOPs to improve quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate wafer recoveries and tool qualification activities during PM or down events.
• Document tool interruptions and communicate with Process engineers for proper disposition.
