Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Austin, TX is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on critical Etch processing equipment, including Lam Alliance (4400, 4500, 9600), AMAT P5000 & P5200 (DPS, MXP, MXP+), STS Pegasus, DUV Fusion M200PC and Gasonics Asher L3500.

The role requires understanding of Mechanical, Vacuum, Temperature control, Gas delivery systems and basic electronics.

Qualifications

• Experience performing preventive maintenance on complex semiconductor process equipment.
• Ability to follow PM tasks and work with minimal supervision.
• Comfort working in equipment rooms with hazardous gases and chemicals and adherence to safety protocols.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to present issues and solutions.
• Able to work well in a diverse team, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities.

• Must be physically capable of standing for long periods of time (up to 12 hours) as well as lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds
• Must be willing and physically able to don the appropriate safety apparatus to work with hazardous gases and chemicals and be cleared medically to perform tasks involving this work
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable presenting issues and solutions
• Ability to work well in a diverse team environment and multitask
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adjust to rapidly changing priorities
• Ability to produce results in a timely manner
• Must be self‑motivated 5S

Job Summary

The selected candidate will be responsible for preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment in the Etch processing areas. This equipment includes, but is not limited to: Lam Alliance (4400, 4500, 9600), AMAT P5000 & P5200 (DPS, MXP, MXP+), STS Pegasus, DUV Fusion M200PC and Gasonics Asher L3500.
