Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Austin, TX is seeking an Etch Equipment Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair hardware and process failures across AMAT, Ulvac, Gasonics, Fusion Gemini & LAM dry etch tools. You will perform preventive maintenance and document activities to improve efficiency.

Requires an Associate’s Degree (or higher) in engineering or science and 5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing. Reading schematics, lifting up to 50 pounds, and strong analytical and communication skills

Qualifications

Associate’s degree (or higher) in engineering or science.
Minimum of 5 years semiconductor manufacturing experience.
Experience with advanced electronics, equipment troubleshooting, installation, repair and operation of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
Must be able to read schematics and complex drawings/diagrams.
Must be physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Analytical problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair all hardware and process failures for etch tools.
Perform preventive maintenance following standardized work documents.
Document maintenance activities and assist in improving standardized work documents.
Maintain spare parts inventory and support downtime coordination.
Interact with multiple disciplines in 7x24 manufacturing facility.
Coordinate with Equipment Engineers on upgrades and long down troubleshooting.
