Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Semiconductor Maintenance Technician for Etch/Metals to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on complex toolsets in the Fab metals etch area. The role requires troubleshooting across electrical, electronic, pneumatic, vacuum and mechanical systems, with documentation and training responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of SPC, 5S, FDC systems, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with semiconductor maintenance functions is required.
• Metals or Etch equipment maintenance experience will be considered.
• Experience in troubleshooting electrical/electronic, pneumatic, vacuum and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Etch/Metals toolsets.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, pneumatic, vacuum and mechanical subsystems.
• Complete documentation and train others; communicate with cross-functional teams.
• Uphold safety, performance and reliability standards; stand up to 12-hour shifts and lift up to 50 pounds.

The desired candidate should have a solid understanding of SPC, 5s, FDC systems, and demonstrate problem solving skills. The position requires the ability to interface with other internal and external groups to ensure all safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied. The desired candidate will be required to complete documentation and train others.The desired candidate will be required to effectively communicate using written and verbal skills, stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours), and be physically able to perform required tasks which may include stooping, crawling in confined spaces, and lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds.**The position requires working compressed shifts, job openings on either days or nights may be available.**Education:AA, AS, AAS, in electronics or other industrial engineering related discipline is preferred. Education along with experience or military training may satisfy formal education requirements.Experience:Specific knowledge of semiconductor maintenance job functions is required.
