Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Etch Equipment Technician to support manufacturing and system operations for memory chips and logic, including setup, calibration, maintenance, failure analysis, and documentation per SOPs. You will work with engineers and production to ensure equipment runs efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring equipment and processes, and strong teamwork and communication.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical certification or equivalent in HVAC, electronics, or related field.
• Familiarity with SPC methods.
• Strong MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to procedure changes.
• Must have strong communication, teamwork, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Focused on continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiar with TPM concepts.
• High attention to detail and task oriented with customer service focus.
• Ability to meet due dates and adhere to SOPs.
• Ability to work off-hours if necessary.
• Electro-mechanical aptitude, basic understanding of hand tools, pneumatics, and electricity.

Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance (PM)/Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance: Follows SOPs to keep equipment and processes running.
• Troubleshooting: conducts failure analysis and follows scripts to troubleshoot future issues.
• Monitor Equipment/Process: monitors current state and seeks improvements.
• Teamwork and Communication: works well in a team and communicates across the organization.
