Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Austin, TX is seeking an Etch Equipment Technician to support manufacturing operations, set-up and calibration, system maintenance, and quality testing for memory and logic devices. You will use precise data collection and SOPs to keep equipment in peak condition.

You will troubleshoot using scripts, monitor equipment and processes, and work with engineers to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Any 2-year technical certification (TTI, ITT, Trade Cert, HVAC, etc).
• 3+ ASE certs or 4 years Semiconductor Technician experience (no cert, passes test) or 4 years equivalent technical Military service.
• Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation.
• Highly capable in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to procedure changes also required.
• Must have strong communication, teamwork, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Focused on continuous improvement in fast-paced, changing environment.
• Familiar with TPM concepts.
• High attention to detail and task oriented and place high value on customer service, team work and flexibility.
• Ability to meet due dates for action items.
• Ability to strictly adhere to SOPs.
• Ability to work off-hours if necessary.
• Electro-mechanical aptitude, Basic understanding of hand tools, pneumatics, and electricity.

Position Summary

As a Samsung Austin Semiconductor Etch Equipment Technician, you'll be responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers and manufacturing in set-up and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of memory chips and logic. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Requires compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.

The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60/hour - $60.40/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.

Day Shifts Include:

• A Shift - Sunday through Tuesday (6:45am - 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays
• C Shift - Thursday through Saturday (6:45am - 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays
