Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Equipment Technician to support manufacturing and system operations on memory chip and logic production lines. You will assist with setup, calibration, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, and quality testing in a fast-paced environment.

You will use advanced programs to collect data, perform inline adjustments, and help develop methods to improve the manufacturing process, while adhering to health, safety and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent military experience.
• Experience with AMAT Centura 5200; high-volume fabrication preferred.
• Ability to follow SOPs and improve processes in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated initiative and interest in LEAN/5S.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and troubleshoot equipment failures.
• Monitor abnormal signals and coordinate with engineers on breakdowns.
• Update and generate SOPs as needed and train junior technicians.
• Order/return parts and support cleanroom workflows.

Position Summary

As an Equipment Technician at Samsung Austin Semiconductor, you’ll be responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers and manufacturing in set-up and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of memory chips and logic. You’ll use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. In addition, you’ll determine and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. You’ll be requires compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.

Role and Responsibilities

• Performing scheduled maintenance following detailed SOP.
• Troubleshooting equipment failures.
• Monitor and respond to abnormal equipment signals.
• Working with senior personnel and engineers to perform troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance.
• Correcting and generating SOPs when required.
• Training junior technicians as needed.
• Send and receiving parts from clean or repair.

Skills and Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree, equivalent military experience or if not available, 5-10 years direct applicable Semiconductor experience in High Volume Manufacturing Facilities.
• AMAT Centura 5200 experience on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, gas panel Must have high volume fabrication experience.
• Ability to follow SOPs Focused on continuous improvement in fast-paced, changing environment.
• High level of initiative and desire to learn.
• Prior experience with 5s and LEAN methodologies.

The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60/hour - $60.40/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.

Day Shifts

• A Shift - Sunday through Tuesday (6:45am - 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays
• C Shift - Thursday through Saturday (6:45am - 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays

Night Shifts

• B Shift - Sunday through Tuesday (6:45pm - 7:15am) with alternating Saturdays
• D Shift - Wednesday through Friday (6:45pm - 7:15am) with alternating Saturdays
